Camp by MIS - Grade 5
19-20 September 2025

The camp for the Mother's International School - Grade 5 was held at our Delhi branch on 19th and 20th September 2025 with the participation of 45 students. The camp was carefully structured to provide a balance of creativity, physical activity, environmental awareness, self-reflection, and teamwork. Facilitators from different disciplines guided the sessions, ensuring active engagement and holistic learning for the students.

Activities included :

  • Marbling & Paper Making : Led by Krishna, Artie, Basanti, and Suraj, this session encouraged creativity and hands-on craft learning.
  • Storytelling : Conducted by Meenakshi Di, students explored imagination and listening through interactive stories.
  • Outdoor Games : Under the guidance of Hira, students participated in energetic German games that promoted physical fitness and team spirit. I
  • Meditation : A mindfulness session for calm and focus.
  • Night Walk & Sky Watching : Led by Baren, this activity connected students with nature and astronomy. The group leaders took their group for a night walk and then went to terrace to watch few planets. Baren instructed the students how to see through the Telescope.
  • Shramdan Students began the day with voluntary service, instilling discipline and responsibility. They went to the garden, where the girls plucked weeds and the boys harvested corn, which they later carried home.
  • Seed Ball Making : This session aimed to promote environmental awareness and sustainability. The groups mixed seeds with soil and water to make seed balls. These were left to dry and could later be scattered in gardens to grow plants.
  • Cup-cake making: Shradha, who also helped write the recipe, students learned baking skills with creativity.
  • Knowing Myself : A reflective session encouraging self-discovery and awareness. Anju Khanna guided the students to connect with a symbol and write a letter to themselves, which they illustrated with pictures. Later, they were given balloons to focus on their breath, and then asked to tap the balloons and let them go.
  • Pen Stand Craft (1:00 – 3:30 pm, Creative Room): Students created useful crafts, enhancing artistic and practical skills. They used the marbled papers to make the cover of the pen stands.
  • Games (3:30 – 4:30 pm, Yoga Hall): Led by Hira, Roshni, Priya, Devika, Deviyah, Sadhana, and Radha, this session focused on fun, collaboration, and teamwork. Everyone enjoyed in the MIS ground together.

The camp concluded with refreshments. Parents assembled in the Meditation Hall, where they were addressed by Tara Di. Afterwards, the parents moved to the reception area, and each child was handed over to their respective parents.

The two-day camp at SAA Delhi was a resounding success, engaging 45 students in a blend of creative, cultural, and reflective activities. With the dedicated support of facilitators, students gained skills in art, storytelling, environmental stewardship, teamwork, and self-awareness. The camp not only provided memorable experiences but also fostered a holistic sense of learning beyond the classroom.
